2nd GradeTeacher: Mrs. Alyssa Kelley
Mrs. Kelley grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota. For most of her high school experience, she attended Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School just outside of New Ulm. She also spent one semester of high school as an exchange student at Trifels Gymnasium in Annweiler, Germany. She attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN and graduated with honors in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Mrs. Kelley began her teaching career at Zion Lutheran School in Toledo, Ohio. She taught grades 3 – 5 and was in charge of school music. She then did a few years of substitute teaching in Redwood Falls before taking a position teaching Elementary Math at Reede Gray Elementary School in Redwood Falls, MN. She currently serves as the 2nd grade teacher at St. John, Libertyville, IL.
Mrs. Kelley is married to Mr. Kelley. The Lord has richly blessed them with 4 children: Emmeline, Amelia, Eliot, and Noelle. Mrs. Kelley considers it a privilege to be able to teach Jesus’ little lambs every day. May the Lord continue to bless the spreading of His Word here at St. John and throughout the world.
