Testimonials

"My daughter Faith started St John Lutheran with 3-year-old PreK. She's now in third grade. Truly a blessing to be able to leave my daughter here over the past five years for eight hours a day! Knowing that she's in a safe place is truly by the grace of God and St John's commitment to serve the Lord and our children and their parents! Thank you!"

Your child is welcome to begin attending at any point in the school year as long as they are three years old and potty trained.

Full Day (8 AM - 3:30 PM) or Half Day (8 AM - 11:30 AM)
Full Week, Two Day (Monday, Tuesday), or
Three Day (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday)

Three year olds are constantly learning and exploring. They love to explore new places, so we set our classroom up for exploring in a variety of ways — socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. We have time for group and individual learning experiences. Every day we discover how great it is to learn! Let's talk about how we can partner in the education of your child.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher

Michelle enjoys working with the younger children and watching them grow throughout the year. Every year brings a new class of preschoolers who are eager to learn and explore the classroom.  Michelle's previous experience was at St. Bartholomew Lutheran School in Kawkawlin, MI. In July 2000, when she first began teaching at St. John Lutheran School, she taught first grade. She now teaches at the preschool level.

Michelle also serves as one of the organists for the church. When not in the classroom, she enjoys reading books, stamping cards, and spending time with her family. God has blessed them with a home in Round Lake Beach.

Michelle has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Martin Luther College and an IL State Teaching License for ages Birth through Grade 3.

"I find it a privilege to be able to teach God's Little Lambs and help them grow in their faith. I enjoy seeing the growth in each child by the end of the year. It is an honor to be working with the rest of the staff of St. John to share God's love with the children in our school and help them grow to serve Christ in all they may do."
