Kindergartners are curious and excited to learn. You'll be amazed at how many skills they develop this year! At St. John Lutheran School, we use a balanced approach to meet the academic and social needs of our kindergartners. And, our small class size helps us meet individual needs. We embrace the opportunity to build a love of learning and provide a solid foundation for each child. Let's talk about how we can partner in the education of your child.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Kindergarten Teacher

Sarah has been teaching kindergarten at St. John Lutheran School since her graduation in 2003. She has a great passion for this age level and loves seeing the growth and development of the students throughout the year. While working to provide an academic-based curriculum, she still provides the students with the social time and experiences they need. She also serves as assistant principal at St. John and would love to speak with you about your interest in our school.

Sarah, her husband, and their two children have enjoyed living in Waukegan on the shores of Lake Michigan. When she is not in the classroom, Sarah enjoys the beaches of Lake Michigan, visiting with her family and friends, and working on many Pinterest projects.

Sarah has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master's in Special Education from Martin Luther College.

"I cannot imagine teaching any other age group than kindergarten. I love everything about the growth and development of the students at this age and strive to provide them with the best balanced education possible. Serving at St. John Lutheran School continues to be a great experience with the wonderful help and support of our faculty and parents."
