Testimonials

"My daughter Faith started St John Lutheran with 3-year-old PreK. She's now in third grade. Truly a blessing to be able to leave my daughter here over the past five years for eight hours a day! Knowing that she's in a safe place is truly by the grace of God and St John's commitment to serving the Lord and our children and their parents! Thank you!"

Three-year-old students are constantly learning and exploring. They love to explore new places, so we set our classroom up for exploring in a variety of ways — socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively. We have time for group and individual learning experiences. Every day we discover how great it is to learn! Let's talk about how we can partner in the education of your child.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

3-Year-Old Preschool Teacher

Alicia graduated from the College of Lake County with a certificate for Certified Nursing Assistant in 2006. After several years of being a CNA, she decided to change her career path to pursue another passion of hers: teaching. Alicia has worked at a couple of childcare centers and has experience working with children from birth to 12 years. Throughout her time in childcare, she was the main teacher for the older 2s and young 3s and occasionally taught in the preschool class. Alicia also worked as the Assistant Preschool Teacher at Faith Lutheran School in Antioch, IL. During this period, she earned three teaching-related certificates and is currently enrolled at the College of Lake County, pursuing her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Alicia and her husband, Jeff, live with their two sons in Round Lake Beach, IL. Alicia enjoys spending time with her family outside by walking various forest preserves, taking their dog to the dog park, bike riding, and being with extended family.

"I feel very blessed and excited to serve as the 3 year old teacher at St. John Lutheran School, not only to encourage growth in young children's minds intellectually, but also to learn and grow in their faith in Christ."
